Eixample tip: Casa Ramon Casas/Massimo Dutti

Jeg er hverken den store shopper eller fashionista, men det her er en butik ud over det sædvanlige! Her kan du få god basis- og arbejdstøj i god kvalitet til rimelig penge. Massimo Dutti er en del af samme modekoncern som det andet kendte high street mærke: Zara, men stilen er mere tidsløs og klassisk, og kvaliteten lige en tand bedre.

Men gevinsten ved netop denne her butik er selve bygningen. Butikken har nemlig til huse i Casa Ramón Casas, et modernistisk palæ fra 1898 designet til den catalanske maler Ramón Casas af arkitekten Antoni Rovira Rabassa.

Især når du går op på 1. sal ser du de modernistiske detaljer i loftet, gulvet, trappen og den smukke pejs, og det fungerer fint sammen med tøj, sko og tasker, der er smagfuldt opstillet. Det er stilfuldt og smukt.

Snyd endelig ikke dig selv for også lige at tjekke terrassen, hvor du blandt grønne planter, traditionelle keramiske kakler og med udsigt til bagsiden af Gaudís la Pedrera kan trække en kop kaffe i automaten i den gamle bil og holde en pause. Eller du kan lade kæresten/manden tage en slapper, mens du oser omkring i butikken. I disse omgivelser er shopping virkelig til en fornøjelse!

I’m neither a big shopper nor a fashionista, but this store is out of the ordinary! Here it’s possible to buy excellent basic and workwear of good quality and at a reasonable price. Massimo Dutti is part of the same fashion company as the well known high street brand: Zara, but the style is more timeless and classic, and the quality is better.

But the real gem is the building were the shop is located, it’s just extraordinary! It’s located in Casa Ramón Casas, a 1898 modernist mansion designed for the Catalan painter Ramón Casas by the architect Antoni Rovira Rabassa.

Especially on the 1st floor you will see the wonderfull modernistic details in the attic, the floor, the staircase and the beautiful fireplace, and the building with all it’s details help display the clothes, shoes and bags beautifully and  tastefully. It is stylish and spectacular!

Don’t leave without checking out the terrace, where you can have a cup of coffee from the vending machine in the old car and take a break surrounded by green plants, traditional ceramic tiles and with a view of Gaudís la Pedrera. You can also choose to leave your boyfriend / man there while you shop. In these surroundings, shopping is truely a pleasure.
